WCAG Accessibility
and Inclusive solutions
Making Digital Products Usable for Everyone, Regardless of Ability
I am a UX professional who champions accessibility and inclusive design. I am committed to creating digital products that are usable and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of ability. I have a strong manual auditing and solutioning ability. As well as finding issue I help them from being there in the first place.
By creating accessible and inclusive digital products, I’ve contributed to a more equitable and inclusive digital world. This not only benefits users with disabilities but also improves the overall user experience for everyone.
WCAG Guidelines: I possess a strong understanding of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and strive to implement them at all stages of the design process. My knowledge covers 2.0 to 2.2 and draft 3.0.
WCAG Manual Auditing: I excel at conducting in-depth WCAG manual audits, meticulously evaluating websites and applications for accessibility compliance across required WCAG conformance levels (A, AA).
Accessibility Testing: I leverage a comprehensive approach to accessibility testing, employing manual testing methods alongside assistive technologies to identify and resolve accessibility barriers for users with diverse needs.
My Accessibility Expertise
Inclusive Design Practices: I integrate inclusive design practices throughout the design process to ensure all users have a positive experience. This includes considerations for users with visual impairments, motor limitations, cognitive differences, age and more.
Accessibility Integration: I am skilled at integrating accessibility considerations into all aspects of the design, development, and testing process.
Integrating with User Testing Research: Aligning research findings from real user testing with auditing provides powerful statements and insights.
I am a strong advocate for accessibility, and I am always eager to learn and implement best practices. I am confident that my skills and dedication to accessibility, including my expertise in WCAG manual auditing, will be a valuable asset to any team.
My Impact
Scottish Government Oracle Fusion Cloud Application
As Accessibility Lead at the Scottish Government, I was part of the UCD team accessibility efforts. This included WCAG audits, consultancy (WCAG 2.1 & 2.2), and user research. My technical skills in barrier mapping and code upstanding, ensured actionable solutions via Jira tickets. Greatly improved visibility of Screen reader and Keyboard-only user barriers.

My Impact
Aegon UK Staff Accessibility Needs
I had the opportunity to shape the internal systems that Aegon staff use to create and author websites, content and deployment. I made sure that these interfaces also met WCAG accessibility requirements as Aegon staff deserve just as much respect as their customers. Custom Workflows and Reporting was designed round Adobe Coral UI framework and extended UI where it did not meet standards.
- Business case creation and stakeholder influence
- Staff user testing and pain point analysis
- Assistive Technology tests
- Custom Workflow component designs to enhance accessibility and usability
