User-centered Design (UCD) at the Heart of my Thinking

User-centered design (UCD) is at the core of my design philosophy. Since my experience with the 2012 Olympic Paralympics, where I gained invaluable user insights, I’ve championed a user-first approach in all my design endeavours. This translates to employing design processes like design thinking to ensure empathy for all users and the creation of solutions that truly meet their needs.

Innovation thrives on challenges, and that’s where I come alive. I relish the ideation and design phase, where my dyslexic thinking unlocks fresh perspectives. Fuelled by a love for challenges, I’ve taken part in hackathons (winning them on both sides of the leadership coin!), I excel at tackling problems creatively. This translates to shaping innovative concepts from briefs, then iterating on them through prototyping and clear communication to final outcomes aligned to users needs.
